What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is an art, science and a philosophy that focuses on restoring balance to the spine and nervous system through spinal adjustments and reconditioning.

Spinal joint, muscle and nervous system irritation can cause such symptoms as back pain, headaches, neck pain, sleep disorders, digestive dysfunction, sinus and allergy conditions to name a few. A symptom is a communication within our body that something is wrong. Chiropractic is a natural treatment approach that focuses on removing the cause of the symptom instead of taking medications that often mask our symptom, but do little to address the cause of the problem.

What is Biomechanics?

Biomechanics is the science concerned with how the body moves and balances itself against gravity.

When the body is perfectly balanced, it moves and performs at optimal levels. But when that balance is interrupted (say by an injury) the body tries to rebalance itself. This can result in a misaligned spine, pain and other problems. These misalignments over time can greatly increase the wear-and-tear that is placed on the joints and soft-tissues of the body. This in turn leads to degenerative and arthritic changes to the body and spine.

The staff at Hogue Chiropractic Center is well-trained to help your body rebalance itself and return to it’s normal state; whether with custom-made orthotics, periodical adjustments, massage therapy or physical therapy.

Auto Accident Induced Injuries

The forces acting on the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine in a motor vehicle accident can be tremendous. Safely and thoroughly evaluating the spine is crucial to identifying the level and extent of injury involved, if any. No treatment should ever take place on your spine following an auto accident until the appropriate steps have been taken to ensure that the proper care is being administered. At Hogue Chiropractic Center, we will conduct the proper assessment and evaluation and take the necessary precautions to ensure that you are receiving the highest quality of care possible to help you on your path to healing.
